Samakhya Sustainable Alternatives is a for-profit social enterprise, part of a larger network of community focussed institutions, playing a crucial role of ensuring sustainable livelihoods for thousands of artisans and pastoralists. Our goal is to promote sustainability and create long-term solutions that preserve traditional techniques and materials while ensuring a fair and equitable livelihood for communities struggling in difficult geographies.
Through our work, we are trying to revive the inter-dependent rural ecosystems where the artisans, farmers, pastoralists and the consumer support each other, enabling a circular economy model. We strongly believe that we have to look in our cultural past to find solutions for the future.
Our organization achieves this through investing in textile value chains, innovative design, cutting-edge technologies, and expanding market access, all driven by principles of sustainability, circular economy, inclusivity, and value for money.
